Abstract The article examines some aspects of environmental protection in Switzerland following the recent Constitutional reform of fiscal federal relations. The study focuses on the implementation of a new national grants system in the field of environmental protection. In this field the Confederation and the Cantons share their tasks, with the Cantons responsible for the implementation of national laws. National grants are provided on the basis of shared programs defining specific goals in environmental protection. |
