Abstract The Author analyzes how parties in the U.S. select presidential candidates to run for President in the United States. He highlights the differences between primary elections and caucuses and then moves on to describe in further details the different types of primaries. Finally, the Author examines public regulation of the primary elections in order to identify the limits to State legislation. |
