Abstract The paper aimes to stimulate the debate about the relationship between cohesion policies and conditionality and the common aims they pursue in the context of Balkans economic constitutions. Particularly, the paper offers a reading of the enlargement of European Union in the Balkans countries that highlights the economic reasons of policies of integration and the mutual benefits between the countries involved. Elements that are often crucial to give effect to good intentions formally stated in international agreements. |
