Abstract In fact if we consider also “Old Europe” as a multiethnic area it would be important to rethink minority rights protection in order to achieve a definition and a high standard of minority rights protection also in all EU member States. That could be also a solution in order to avoid the existence of a double standard of protection between “Old” and “New” Europe, and in order to obtain the same standard of protection with a concrete implementation, so that “New” Europe having clear benchmarks from “Old” Europe could be able to prevent ethnic conflict and to support minority rights in a multicultural integration trough governance. |
