Abstract

The author tried briefly to show the relationships between Swiss and the European Union. In this context she highlighted, as possible as she could, the reasons behind the Swiss reluctance to join the E.U. After analysing both the features of Swiss federalism and the agreements which paved the way to the European integration, with the consequently progressive adjustment of internal law to the community law, the author put into evidence the Swiss manner to belong to Europe without joining to.At the moment the Swiss Confederation is in a position as privileged partner of U.E., so that it’s unreasonable thinking of any solution which includes the formal concept of “accession”.
