Abstract After the President of the Republic dismissed Prime Minister Radu Vasile it seemed as though the Romanian semi-presidential system was to follow the experience of the French V Republic, where the President of the Republic, working in fait majoritie could force the resignation of the Prime Minister. On closer analysis however, the political and constitutional situation in Romania and France do not appear to be totally comparable. |
