Abstract This article examines the procedure of judicial inquiries before the French Constitutional Council. The author reveals the absence of written regulations but at the same time finds that certain contradictory procedures allow the constitutional judge a good deal of flexibility. In spite of the possible advantages of this the author argues for the introduction of at least some form of regulation to proceedings before the French Constitutional Council. |
