Abstract The article describes the main features of the Mexican federal system. It deals in particular with the system of competence distributions between the Federation and the States, highlighting the issue of “concurring powers”. The author also describes how the States participate in Federal affairs through the Senate (e.g. the amending process), and the role of the Federal District. |
