AbstractThis article examines the main questions concerning the representation of the European Community in international financial instances.Particularly, the article analyses several juridical issues related to the participation of the European Community in the International Monetary Fund and underlines the legal and political consequences of the different admission models: joint participation and exclusive participation.Furthermore, the article analyses the implications that each admission model can have in terms of the balance of powers between the Community and its Member States in the fields of economic and monetary policy. |
