Abstract The study focuses on the process of democratization of constitutions in some areas of Maghreb, like Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria. In particular, it investigates the relationships between constitution and Islamic religion and the development of the parliamentary organization. This analysis shows that despite some important revisions in the spirit of democratization, there is still an improper use of the rules of constitution that are often used by the political elite to justify and strengthen its power. |
