Abstract Project financing is an innovative and timely financing technique that has been used in many high-profile corporate projects. This article describes this technique in Spain, walking readers through its essential steps and procedures. First, the circulation of European models is set out, analyzing the German, French and English models, and their reception in Spain. The second part of the article distinguishes project financing from conventional direct financing, in relation to the constitutional and administrative perspectives. Finally, it examines the impact of European Union Law on the public-private relationships in project financing for constructing, maintaining and running public works and activating services. |
